Restaurant Ceramics

Jee has been creating custom work for us for the past year. Her attention to detail and unique style of sculpting textures in her pottery separates her from other ceramicists.  I look forward to more collaborations and seeing what she can do next!

Alex Hong, Owner & Chef of Sorrel

Seoul Sister Studio has been instrumental in elevating the presentation & overall style of my cuisine & experience at 3rd Cousin. Jee’s artistic vision helps me with my own creativity. I’m grateful to be able to partner with her.

Nisei

While Chef David Yoshimura had one of Jee’s pieces in rotation since 2023, their first collaboration was the following year. The bespoke piece highlights his “salad” course of local greens, presented in the tradition of ikebana, Japanese flower arrangement, accompanied with a “dressing that mimics water.

In 2022, Chef Yoshimura earned the Michelin Young Chef award and Nisei earned its first star. Nisei has continued to retain their status in the guide. Read the review here.

7 Adams

Chef David Fisher and Chef Serena Chow Fisher were among the first visitors to Seoul Sister Studio’s new home in Windsor, CA. Lucky for Jee, the chefs could see past the disarray and a partnership was born. This hand carved bowl is among the four designs that the culinary duo selected for the opening of the highly anticipated 7 Adams in San Francisco. Like their first restaurant, Marlena, 7 Adams aims to democratize the fine dining experience by offering an affordable 5 course seasonal tasting menu.

Read what SF Eater and the San Francisco Chronicle had to say about their opening on November 1, 2023.

In 2024, the Michelin Guide of California awarded 7 Adams one star. Read the review here.

Table Culture Provisions

Jee met Chef Stéphane Saint Louis a year before they started working together in February 2023, and it was worth the wait. One of the bespoke pieces is a multi-functional set; the bowl that doubles as a platform is shown here. The new work was revealed with a refresh of their space in April. TCP’s hyper-seasonal California menu is both comforting and elevated, served in a welcoming and intimate setting.

The San Francisco Chronicle recently included Table Culture Provisions in its “Top 25 Restaurants: Where to eat in the Bay Area”.

Osito

Chef Seth Stowaway started working with Jee almost a year before Osito and Liliana opened in late 2021. Osito, a fine dining experience, is San Francisco’s only 100% live fire restaurant, featured in the Robb Report and ranked #1 by Time Out San Francisco.

When Chef Stowaway wanted a way to present amuse bouche, Jee created modular “bean” pedestals that are flexible for different sized parties and courses. Osito uses four of her designs for the tasting menu.

In 2022-24, the Michelin Guide of California awarded Osito one star. Read the Michelin Guide’s review.

Sorrel

In 2021, Chef Alex Hong, a James Beard Semi-finalist, partnered with Jee to create bespoke pieces to hold the first bites at Sorrel Restaurant, a local-Californian inspired restaurant with Italian influences in San Francisco. To date, she has made five sets of unique ceramics for their snacks and bread courses.

In 2019, 2021-24, the Michelin Guide of California awarded Sorrel one star. Read the Michelin Guide’s review.

3rd Cousin

Having lived a few blocks away, Jee had been a patron of 3rd Cousin, but it wasn’t until 2021 that she started working with Chef Greg Lutes to create pieces for his globally inspired California cuisine. 3rd Cousin primarily uses Jee’s five designs in their tasting menu, which varies seasonally.

In 2021, the Michelin Guide recognized 3rd Cousin in their “New Discoveries” category. Read the Michelin Guide’s review.

Sons & Daughters

Jee first met Pastry Chef Michelle Fried when they were members a few years ago at the Clay Room, a community studio in San Francisco. In 2022, Chef Fried collaborated with Jee to create pieces that would inspire her at Sons and Daughters, a modern Californian fine dining restaurant. Sons and Daughters was featured in Forbes (March 2023).

In 2019 and 2022, Sons and Daughters earned one Michelin Star. Read the Michelin Guide’s review.

Hazel Hill, The Montage Healdsburg

While Chef Jaron Dubinsky was at The Montage Healdsburg’s farm to table restaurant, he partnered with Jee to create custom pedestals for their dessert course. Each piece is made of hand stained clay, takes over 2300 individual strokes to carve the design, and is accentuated with 22k gold.

Cyrus

Chef Douglas Keane, who earned two Michelin stars with the original Cyrus in Healdsburg, CA, opened the long awaited, “Cyrus 2.0” in Geyserville, CA, in September, 2022. Cyrus launched with two sets of ceramic designs by Jee, one of which is a double sided vessel that can be used as a pedestal or a dish and the other is a handmade spoon inspired by an oyster’s shell. Jee has since created two more designs to add to the collection at Cyrus.

Black oak coffee roasters

The Healdsburg outpost of Black Oak Coffee Roasters worked with Jee to create custom tumblers primarily to be used for affogato (vanilla ice cream or gelato drowned with a shot of hot expresso). The partially carved design is inspired by Black Oak tree acorns.
